Changes to Companies House Filing Requirements

The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act has introduced significant changes to Companies House. The most immediate impact is on identity verification and small company accounts filing.

Directors and people with significant control will need to verify their identity through Companies House or an authorised agent. The change is being rolled out in phases.

Small companies will also need to file more detailed accounts than they have done historically. The simplified abridged accounts regime is being phased out.
